The second “song of the week” is an addictive song by Incubus, Earth To Bella (Part I). It’s from their latest studio album Light Grenades, released in 2006. Part one is the seventh track on the album, then the story continues in part two, which is the 13th and last track.

The video is from Hove Festival in Norway in June 2007. The rainy weather reminds me of seeing R.E.M. in Helsinki last September. Even though rain is the last thing you are hoping for a concert, it can actually turn out to be lots of fun. This video is from the summer, so at least it’s warm.

September in Finland was whole another story. That time it was really raining, and it wasn’t warm. Everybody was there in their raincoats. The ones who suffered the most were the two warm-up acts, Editors and The Disciplines – almost nobody wanted to go see them in the rain. It was blowing from behind, making the stage was all wet too. We were afraid that the band wouldn’t take it too well, but it turned out to be just the opposite, there was this “let’s fight the rain together” spirit, and the rain actually bonded the band and the audience together in a special way. R.E.M. ended up playing songs they have rarely or never played before.

But well, back to the topic:
